If found following these 21 steps made me much happier.

  1. Be nice to everyone, from the person who delivers your mail to the people who you disagree with.
  2. Forgive yourself, you are human not a robot, you are not perfect and  you will make mistakes.
  3. Smile at people and talk to strangers, it’s hard at first but totally worth it.
  4. Take risks, get out of your comfort zone, this is your life not a rehearsal.
  5. Don’t listen to people who tell you you can’t do it, prove to them you can.
  6. When you keep getting a gut feeling that is telling you to do or not to do something  – Listen.
  7. Get rid of the stuff you don’t need or use, stuff weighs us down and gives us more to waste time and energy on.
  8. Be generous and pay it forward.
  9. Love the ones you are with.
  10. Be grateful every day.
  11. Be honest.
  12. Eat good food.
  13. Take your sleep seriously.
  14. Turn off the news.
  15. Only post positive stuff on social media and don’t read the comments!
  16. Buy and read a self help book with a lot of 5 star reviews.
  17. Spend quality time outside.
  18. Find an exercise  you enjoy and you can safely do depending on your heath and do it regularly. (If in doubt check with your doctor)
  19. Surround yourself with positive people and cherish and nourish those friendships.
  20. Spend some time being with yourself, you may be worried that you don’t know how to meditate, that’s ok,  just put away your electronics and go for a walk or sit in silence. Just be.
