Do you ever just wish you could go online and find happy stuff? be uplifted and feel better, rather than angry and frustrated ?
I have put together a list of the happiest places online for your inspiration and consideration. Here are the links with description from the websites where available.
1. Daily Good
“DailyGood was born in 1998, when one college student started sharing inspiration with a half a dozen of his friends by sending them an enriching quote every day.
Today, DailyGood leverages the internet to promote positive and uplifting news around the world to more than 100,000 subscribers through the daily and weekly newsletters. Readers receive a news story, an inspiring quote, and a suggested action that each person can take to make a difference in their own lives and the world around them.
Our philosophy is quite simple: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” The entire project is fully run by dedicated volunteers who contribute hundreds of hours finding the right stories and quotes.”
“Our Vision. Though we can’t always control what happens in life, it’s good to know we can control how we deal with it. We can find ways to create the best life possible.
We believe that every person can learn ways to become happier by developing awareness about the choices we all make in the face of day to day challenges. With some easy and fun training, our new choices can make life better. As we become more aware of who we are, master our emotions more effectively, recognize our strengths, and build our character, we cultivate compassion for ourselves and for others. Project Happiness, specializes in emotional resilience-building programs”
One of my favorites, lots of uplifting stories they also have a Facebook Page.
4. Zen Habits
Blog style with resources and programs. Useful when you need a time out.
“Zen Habits is about finding simplicity and mindfulness in the daily chaos of our lives. It’s about clearing the clutter so we can focus on what’s important, create something amazing, find happiness.”
You can sign up for a program or just browse uplifting content.
“Overcome stress and negative thoughts.
Build resilience. Happify is the single destination for effective, evidence-based solutions for better emotional health and wellbeing in the 21st century.”
Lots of positive articles and inspiration for both personal and professional success.
I love finding new Ted Talks and these are some good ones. I particularly like Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s talk on “Flow” based on his book by the same name.
